One of the most relevant playwrights of the Uruguayan stage returns to the Festival Teatro a Mil with an immersive and intimate version of the myth of Phaedra and her stepson Hippolytus.

Entering Phaedra's bedroom is an immersive theater experience. It is to breathe with her her eternal mourning, her historical tragedy, posed from the domestic, in a contemporary perspective. She speaks with her guests, with a fierce loneliness, like the ancient and the present, where no one reacts enough to the wounded heart. She manipulates and elaborates strategies of scenic survival, and people observe and decide whether to support her or not.

Awards and nominations

Awarded by France with the Moliere Prize. By the CCE (Cultural Center of Spain in Montevideo) on two occasions, by the UBA (University of Buenos Aires), nominated twice for the ACE Awards (Buenos Aires Press Awards). She was awarded the BUHO prize in Uruguay.
