"The contemporary look of a young cast, nourished by the environment of the country and the own experiences and perceptions of the members of the group, cross this proposal on a classic of Greek tragedy, written by Euripides."

Medea is a woman betrayed by her husband Jason, the father of her children, who received glory and honor for the actions she performed for him. Faced with this betrayal, Medea kills the king, Jason's new wife, and their two children, leaving Jason destroyed and without the possibility of achieving his life goal: to reign in Corinth.

This staging, made by young creators using one of Euripides' Medea, through song, dance, and detailed choreographic direction, seeks to enhance the rewritten text. Highlighting with signature music and a minimalist design in a totally empty space that is filled only by the performers, ten actors, and actresses on stage.

Some of the topics that this new version of Medea raises are the demands of the role of women in relation to motherhood, where, faced with betrayal, Medea decides to murder her children. On the other hand, democracy is put in tension, by the social exclusions of which Medea of Euripides takes charge, for example: the exclusion of the foreign woman without civil rights.
