The cast no longer even tries to pretend; they barely manage to perform for five minutes on the ruins of Euripides' The Trojan Women. The actresses and actors decide, by mutual agreement, to use the stage for the last time for a greater cause: to make contact with the beyond to solve a crime, but above all to save one of the actresses in the cast who has been possessed by the spirit of Lena. Not Helena's, but Lena Socolov's, the 53rd victim of the Russian serial killer Andrei Chikatilo who committed his crimes in the 1980s and was finally executed in 1994.
Los ojos de Lena is one of the three plays that, together with Edipo Stand Up Tragedy and Hablan, make up the Final Trilogy with which Teatro la Provincia celebrates its 30th anniversary. All of them have been worked from the dramaturgy by Leyla Selman in close collaboration with Rodrigo Pérez, director of the company.
