In the heights, above the heart of the civic neighborhood of Santiago, the acclaimed highliner Nathan Paulin will bear witness, through a choreography by Frenchman Rachid Ouramdane, of the feelings and impressions that surround him as he walks through the air.
Rachid Ouramdane invited the famous highliner Nathan Paulin, a record-holding powerhouse of this discipline. Les Traceurs is an ever-evolving on-site piece which takes over outdoor locations, reflecting on our ability to respect the environments we live in and offering new interpretations of these landscapes.
The crossing of Nathan Paulin is accompanied by a sound creation by Jean-Baptiste Julien put together from Nathan Paulin’s accounts which immerse us into his work and thinking. Rachid Ouramdane attempts here to let Nathan Paulin’s sensitivity and personal connection to his practice shine through. The show aims to highlight what extremes athletes, these larger-than-life individuals strive for in their gravity- defying acts. This confrontation with themselves comes with another dimension, the fact that they move in majestic landscapes, sometimes blending into an environment largely considered off-limits.
