Two actresses on the stage of a theater in ruins, try to represent again and again a short scene from Schiller's Mary Stuart, a play that premiered in 1800 in Germany, which deals with the events that occurred in 1587 when Queen Elizabeth was confronted with her cousin Mary Stuart of Scotland for her betrayal and having to decide her death.
Two actresses on the stage of a theater in ruins, hardly understanding why they are there, facing each other in an unbearable dialogue, where they question each other about issues that would have nothing to do with them if it were not for the fact that this is the stage of patriarchy in ruins. Two actresses try to take the brief scene to a different ending but fear and the state of things in 2023, apparently do not let them.
Hablan is one of the three plays that, together with Edipo Stand Up Tragedy and Los ojos de Lena, make up the Final Trilogy with which Teatro la Provincia celebrates its 30th anniversary. All of them have been worked from the dramaturgy by Leyla Selman in close collaboration with Rodrigo Pérez, director of the company.
