Daniella Santibañez
Direction
Performing artist, dancer, and facilitator of movement and improvisation practices. Bachelor of Arts with a major in Dance at Universidad de Chile. Since 2020 to date she has guided the body practice of Bomba Solar. She collaborates as a performer and/or choreographic assistant in various independent projects with choreographers and artists such as Amanda Piña, Jose Vidal, Joel Inzunza, Projecte Ingenue, and Comunidad Escénica, among others; with tours in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Spain and Germany. She was part of the TANZKONGRESS 2022 (Mainz, Germany) with the performance "Situada Fronteriza", co-creation with Nuri Gutés, and with the corporal practice "Bomba Solar". She is currently directing the project Ensayos sobre la luz, highlighting the dance solo DEVELAR (GAM, 2023).

The Company
Interdisciplinary and collaborative project, composed of dance, photographic, audiovisual, architectural, scenic, writing, and performative artistic practices. It develops proposals mobilizing from light as the main driving force of creation.
She has held creative residencies in Chile at the DE_formas laboratory at Comunidad Escénica and in the program ¿Por qué me muevo? at Centro NAVE and at the K3 Choreographic Center - TANZPLAN Hybrid Residence in Hamburg, Germany. Among other performative exercises and exhibitions, the short film Aparecer (2022) and the dance solo DEVELAR (GAM, 2023) stand out.
Awards and nominations
Daniella Santibáñez received the award for Best Contemporary Dance Performer at the MUTA Dance Awards (2023).

Daniella Santibáñez and the Proyecto Ensayos sobre la luz debut at Teatro a Mil with their first large-format piece, which connects dance with photography, and the sensitivity of the body with light and its shadows.
A contemporary dance solo that questions the body's photosensitivity, the sensitive relationship that exists between the body, light, and its shadows. The work, which was created from the dialogue between dance, analog photography, and costumes, veils and unveils imaginary bodies through a choreography that moves around the question of light.
DEVELAR makes appear and registers a process of alternations between veils of light and darkness that cover the body, in order to discover its interiority. Each threshold presents movements as a possible response to how much light there is in the body and how much body there is in the light.
